Welcome to the world Caleb Jude!

I'll start with just a quick timeline of the events (and I say quick because that's how it all happened!):

3 am - Corbin and Kyle head to the hospital, eyes still burning from the lack of sleep and each of us having a moment where we wanted to turn around and go back home...postponing the inevitable of course!

4:30 am - Pitocin on board, we begin the waiting game...oh did I mention that I was already 4
cm dialated when we got to the hospital?  Not sure how that happened, but it was 2 less cm I
had to worry about!

5 am - 6:30 am - Contractions....getting...stronger....must....start...epidural....

7 am - At 5 cm and epidural in place... life is good again and my husband thanks
the anesthesiologist for saving him from any more verbal abuse from
his wife (hey, I had to have someone to blame for the pain and he seemed most appropriate!)

8 am - Nurse checks me and I'm at an 8...did I mention that the family has left the room to grab some breakfast? Husband should have thanked the anesthesiologist again (would have had some
choice words for eating when I was STARVING but didn't because I was in no pain at all!) Nurse tells me that if I feel nauseous to let her know.... cue nauseousness as soon as she walks out of the
room and I am alone!

8:05 am - Family and nurse walk back in and I tell her to put a check by the nauseousness box, so she checks me again....her face gets a look of panic and her exact words are: "Don't sneeze, don't cough,
don't even move...I'm gonna go call the doctor cause his head is
ready to come out!"

8:20 am - Dr arrives and the fun begins

8:32 am - Happy birthday Caleb Jude King!

Tomorrow is the big day...

I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about the whole "giving birth" thing.  At least the first time I didn't know what to expect!  Now I pretty much know how it all goes, and that scares me!  I know it will all be worth it when little baby Caleb is in my arms...but right now I'm wishing he would just drop down from that delivery stork and we could just skip over the whole birthing experience!  Anyway, wish me luck and I'm sure I will post pictures soon!

Grammy and Tiffy are back in town!

Brayden loves his great grammy Edie...but not as much as he loves her dog Tiffy!  They both came over for dinner last Sunday and Brayden throughly enjoyed chasing Tiffy around the house (she is used to a quiet house with just herself and my grandma!)  Needless to say, I imagine that Grammy will be leaving Tiffy at home from now on when she comes to visit us!

Diapers and Wipes Shower!

Since we are having another boy, I didn't feel right about having a typical "baby shower" where everyone brings clothes, toys, etc... trust me, we have plenty of all that (minus some warm outfits since Brayden was born in March).  So, Kelly put together a "diapers and wipes" shower for me, which was perfect, cause everyone knows we will be needed both of those!  Lots of my closest friends and family came and we had a great time chatting, eating yummy baked potatoes from Jason's Deli, and playing silly baby shower games.  Thank you to all of you who came!  Here are a few highlights...please ignore the fact that my face looks like a perfectly round circle.  Yes, I know you're suppose to gain weight when you're pregnant, but I'm over it and ready to start the journey back to looking normal!

The baked potato bar!  I would highly recommend this for your next event. It was very tasty!

Stef, Katie, Kate and adorable little Luke

Stef was waaaaay off on guessing how big around my belly was...it's ok Stef, I forgive you! :)

Attempting this "blogging" thing...

I'm sure I have a lot to learn, but you gotta start somewhere right?!?  I will keep it simple and just try posting a few cute pictures of my little man!
