The Letter I and Some Abstract Art

Sometimes we just have to take a moment to brag about our kids...
so bear with me!

Brayden is very into letters lately (the former 1st grade teacher in me is so excited!)  He can tell me all the letters and the sound each letter makes, even out of alphabetical order!  He loves the Letter Factory movie (shout out to Leap Frog for helpin' a busy mom out!)  And he will find letters on just about anything, from a cereal box to the books he reads.  He amazes me everyday!  Just the other day, he decided to write a letter for me:

Not bad for a first attempt!

Then he decided to draw me a giraffe...What?  You don't see it??

My Tank

Not sure what happen to this kid recently (I swear he does more than just eat all day!) but my almost 6 month old weighs in at 18 pounds!!  I imagine that once he is is mobile, he will thin out just like his brother.  But for now, I'm losing weight just by carrying around my little chunker!  Here are some recent pics of my not-so-little-anymore guy:

Two of my favorite boys!

There he goes smiling again...

P.S.  If you call him big, or any variation of the word, to his face, it hurts his feelings and he will cry... no joke! :)  Of course, if you called me big, I would cry too, so I can't really blame him! :)

Continuation of the Episode of the Missing Pee-Pee

In case anyone was worried for my sweet little boy who couldn't find his pee-pee... He has managed to find it.  Again...and again...and again since my last post.  He never did this wearing diapers, but has a new-found freedom wearing his "big boy" underwear!  All that's missing from this picture is a remote nearby and a drink in his hand!  For all you conservatives out there, not to worry...it's completely innocent and normal...and amazing blackmail! :)

And it begins...

Watching his morning cartoon...hands down his pants.  Why?
"Cause I have a itch Mommy!"

He then proceeded to get a frantic look on his face, so I say "What's the matter Brayden?"  And he says, "I'm looking for my pee-pee.  I can't find it!"  To which I calmly say, "It's in the front buddy..."
He searches again, this time in the front, and then a sigh of relief...the pee-pee has been found.
Help me!  I'm surrounded by men!

I know I'm biased but...

this kid is stinkin' cute!

Easter fun

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday with our family!  Brayden loved searching for eggs in our backyard...and Mommy had fun dressing up the boys :)  We went to church, had a yummy "linner" (that's lunch and dinner if you didn't quite catch that one!) and spent the rest of the day outside playing at the park and enjoying the beautiful weather.  What a blessed day! :)

Making cookies... Brayden style!

While Caleb was down for his morning nap today, Brayden and I decided to make some cookies.  He has his own little baking set, so he promptly put on his apron and was ready to help!  Let's just say that although I believe my child is pretty good at a lot of things, this particular activity was not one of his strong points!  Here's what happens when you let a 3-year-old be in charge:

Once I accepted the fact that we weren't going to win any bake-offs, he had a great time rolling the dough and using his mini cookie cutters.  I stepped in at the last minute and managed to make at least a few recognizable shapes...and into the oven they went!

They actually looked fairly decent in the end (the one on the top left is a person, in case you couldn't quite make it out!)  haha

The best part...eating the dough!

He may not ever be a professional baker...but he's darn cute :)
